Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun-starrer becomes second highest-grossing Indian film of all time, beats Baahubali 2’s record of Rs 1788 crore

 Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule has been running in theatres for almost a month, and now, the film has crossed the huge benchmark of Rs 1788 crore worldwide set by S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. On New Year’s Day, Pushpa 2 collected Rs 13.15 crore at the domestic box office, according to industry tracker Seknilk. This took the film’s net domestic box office collection to Rs 1184.65 crore.

On New Year’s Day, the Hindi version earned Rs 9.5 crore and the Telugu version Rs 3.1 crore. Out of the Rs 1184.65 crore collected by the film in India, Rs 774.65 crore was earned from the Hindi version and Rs 330.53 crore from the Telugu version, Rs 57.65 crore from the Tamil version, Rs 14.14 crore from the Malayalam version and Rs 7.6 crore from the English version.

The makers of Pushpa 2 have collected Rs 1760 crore worldwide till the 26th day of the film. At that time, the film was just Rs 28 crore away from capturing the spot of Baahubali 2. In the last two days, Pushpa 2 has earned Rs 20.85 crore in India, so the worldwide collection would have definitely crossed the Rs 28 crore required to surpass Baahubali 2.
