In a major action in the much-discussed CLU (Change of Land Use) fraud case of Mohali, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested GMADA’s chief town planner Pakanj Bawa. The arrest came after raids at the premises of builders and developers in Mohali and Chandigarh. The investigation is linking Pakanj Bawa to Gaurav Dhira and Dhira Construction. According to the agencies, CLU approvals were obtained for about 30 acres of land in 2024 on the basis of forged signatures. Vigilance has already taken action in this case and Aman Arora had also admitted his close links with Gaurav Dhira.
