Sunny Deol, who had rocked the box office with his last release, ‘Gadar 2’, made a comeback to the big screen with his new film ‘Jaat’. This action-packed drama film, which is consistently touted as a proper South masala entertainment film, had a decent opening at the box office but was not able to create the same excitement as ‘Gadar 2’. However, just when it seemed that the film would not be able to sustain the momentum at the box office, a slight increase in the business proved otherwise. As per the latest Seknilak report, ‘Jaat’ has earned Rs 26.50 crore after a successful 3-day run at the box office.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the Sunny Deol starrer collected Rs 10 crore on its third day, i.e. the first Saturday. The film, which opened on April 10, 2025 with a domestic collection of Rs 9.50 crore, saw a decline in business on the second day. On its first Friday, the film collected Rs 7 crore, which is a drop of over 25 percent. Nevertheless, the film seems to have picked up momentum, and as mentioned above, by the end of the third day, ‘Jaat’ is at a collection of Rs 26.50 crore at the box office.
Hindi viewership in ‘Jaat’ on Saturday was 16.70%. The morning shows started slowly, with a viewership of 7.53%, and then saw a surge during the afternoon shows with an increased crowd of 15.97%. With a slight increase in footfall, the viewership in the evening shows was 16.85%, while the night shows had a maximum of 26.43%.
