New orders issued in Jalandhar, strict restrictions imposed for 2 months

Strict ban orders have been issued in Jalandhar city. District Magistrate cum-Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Dr. Himanshu Agarwal has declared the jurisdiction of Jalandhar as a ‘No Drone Zone’ in exercise of powers vested in him under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defence Code, 2023. He said that there will be strict ban on flying drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the city with immediate effect.

The order also directs the police and armed forces involved in the use of UAVs/drones for the purpose of maintaining law and order to inform this office before deploying the UAVs/drones. The order will remain in force for a period of 2 months from the date of promulgation on March 21, 2025.
