A flight carrying 119 Indians landed at Amritsar Airport, another flight from America will land today carrying 157 Indians

As the US steps up its crackdown on illegal immigration, a plane carrying 119 Indian deportees landed at Amritsar International Airport late Saturday evening. Of the 116 Indians deported, 67 are from Punjab, 33 from Haryana, 8 from Gujarat, three from Uttar Pradesh, two each from Goa, Maharashtra and Rajasthan, and one each from Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
The third batch of deportees is expected on Sunday.
The second batch includes four women and two minors, including a six-year-old girl. According to sources, most of the deportees are between the ages of 18 and 30. Another flight carrying 157 deportees is expected to land on Sunday, PTI reported.
Earlier, on February 5, a US military plane carrying 104 Indian deportees arrived at Amritsar’s Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport.
