Narcotic pills worth Rs 2.70 lakh recovered from Sirsa, car in police custody

The police of Sirsa district of Haryana have recovered about 2 lakh 70 thousand narcotic pills from a vehicle in Hari Vishnu Colony area. The recovered pills include 2 lakh 16 thousand Tapentadol pills and 54 thousand Pregabalin capsules. On questioning, the driver of the vehicle, Mangat Singh, said that the medicines of Deep Traders Medical Agency, Bharat Nagar Sirsa, owner Harvinder son of Bhola Singh, were inside the vehicle. The owner of the said medical agency, Harvinder Singh, resident of Bharat Nagar Sirsa, and Drug Controller Sunil Kumar were called to the spot.

When the drug controller checked the medicines kept in the vehicle, 12 boxes were recovered from the vehicle, out of which 9 boxes contained Tapentadol tablets while three boxes contained Pregabalin capsules. The narcotic tablets and capsules have been handed over to the Drug Control Officer for further action. He said that during the last three days, during the action taken by the district police against the medical drug dealers, about 3 lakh 60 thousand 735 narcotic tablets and capsules have been recovered.
