Ludhiana, May 2 – H.E Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma, Ambassador, Embassy of India, Tokyo Japan during his conversation mentioned that best way to understand how Suzuki successfully established supply chain.  He also suggested to look at what was out of China and talk to Japanese suppliers.

Main difficulty Japanese associations concerns on Quality Management, Cost of Logistics, Depleting infrastructure, Legal & Administrative frame work, Finance etc.

India should pay attention on MSME in japan, family business in Japan could be an opportunity. Now Japanese SME find problems in succession, Indian Industry can add value and go for co creation and coproduction by joint venture, straightening principal of Management.  Do not rely too much on shifting Japanese industry shifting from china. It is tough competition with other Asian Countries. Many Companies shifted to Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand. Thailand has 10 times more Japanese companies than India.  If we look at medical devices industry in Japan, there are good in research, but cost of production is high it can be good opportunity for India to grab the business.

Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU advised CICU members that there is a great opportunity ahead but Indian companies have to focus on Quality, Cost Deliver, Management & moral of Stake holders and Industry need to work for making Business more professional and Result oriented. It seems to be a great time ahead but if Indian companies missed the opportunities it will be tough.
