Today, Punjab Police will conduct Operation CASO, strict action will be taken against the criminals

To crack down on criminals, Punjab Police will launch Operation CASO across the state today (Wednesday). This operation will be led by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav himself. Senior officers of Punjab Police will also be in the field. This operation will be run on the lines of Safe Neighbourhood.

The festival season has begun in the state. Dussehra is this week, while panchayat elections are scheduled for October 15. In such a situation, the police is in no mood to show any leniency. This operation will run in all the districts of the state. The entire strategy has been prepared for this. Police from 412 police stations will be involved in this. More than 8 thousand employees will be involved in the operation. The entire plan has been prepared for this. There will be a special watch on suspicious people.

Police have prepared lists of criminals, drug and narcotics smugglers in all districts. People included in the list are being kept under special surveillance. Similar campaigns are going on in border areas. Officials say that our effort is to provide a safe environment to the people in the state. Before this, CASO operation has been conducted about 7 times. A large amount of narcotics, weapons and other items have been recovered.
