ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ ਇਲਾਕੇ ‘ਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਟਮਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਪੁਲਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਕੇ ਨੌਂ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਾ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸਿਟੀ ਡਾ: ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਭਾਰਗਵ, ਜੁਆਇੰਟ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਦਿਹਾਤੀ ਰਵਚਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੋਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਦਸ ਵਜੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ | ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦੋ ਬਾਈਕ ‘ਤੇ ਪੰਜ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਆਏ। ਬਾਈਕ ‘ਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ, ਜਦਕਿ ਸੋਨੂੰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਟਮਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਉਥੋਂ ਫ਼ਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ।

ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਬੱਚੇ ਦਾ ਸੌਦਾ 4.5 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੈਅ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਦੇ ਜੋੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਥੋਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਲੈਣੇ ਸਨ। ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੋੜੇ ਨੇ ਬੱਚਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਸਲਾਮਤ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਨੌਂ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਗੈਂਗ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

Police Commissionerate Ludhiana busts inter–state child
lifting gang, recovers 3 month old child from Bathinda
within 24 hours
On 18 August at about 12pm, Ludhiana police received
information regarding abduction of a 3 month old child while the perpatators
confined the victim family members in one room from Bhagat Singh Nagar,
Dugri, Ludhiana. Considering the seriousness of the matter, Ludhiana Police
Commissioner, Sh Kaushtab Sharma, IPS constituted a team including Joint CP
city Sh Narinder Bhargav, Joint CP Rural, Sh Ravcharn brar, ADCP 2, Suhail Mir
IPS, ADCP (D) Sh. Harpal singh, ACP South Sh. Vaibhav Sehgal. Immediately
acting on inputs provided by family, various teams were formed which were
led by SHO Dugri, SHO Sahnewal, SHO Daba, Sho Shimlapuri, CIA-1 Incharge,
Anti-Narcotic Cell- 2 who started procuring human and technical evidences &
exploring various angles of the crime.
After 3-4 hours of strenuous work, police stared getting
some clues which were thoroughly worked upon & eventually led to arrest of
03 perpetrators Inderpal @ Sonu, Ram singh and Ravinder @ Ravi from
Shimlapuri area.
The interrogation of these perpetrators unraveled the plot & within next
10 hours other perpetrators involved in the crime were also apprehended &
child was recovered from Bathinda in early morning.
Modus Operandi:- Accused Varinder Chaudhary @ Thekedar used to visit
the victim family for sale purchase of cart material where he got to know the
family has 3 month old child. Another accused Ravinder@ Ravi who was in
touch with Thekedar elicited him to lift the child for money. Thekedar later
roped in other accused who reside in his area and group of 5 accused on two
motorcycles lifted the child after confining other family members in one room.
Later Thekedar and one Sonu took the child to Bathinda and handed over to
Surinder Singh and Ramandeep Kaur who were to give it to Rajan Sharma and
who in turn was supposed to sell the child to one Sirsa based party. However
with due police intervention the child was recovered from Surinder Singh and
Ramandeep Kaur in Bathinda.
FIR Details:- In this regard an FIR no 122 Dated 18/08/22 U/s 363, 365, 380,
342, 451 IPC has been registered in Police Station Dugri.
Further investigation is being carried out to see the possibility of involvement
of other people and if the group has committed any other crime in past.
