Alumni of SCD Govt College Ludhiana mourn demise of their alumnus Bal Anand IFS, a former ambassador

Ludhiana – Alumni Association of SCD Govt College, Ludhiana mourned the untimely death of Bal Anand,IFS, a former ambassador and an alumnus of the college

Belonging to V.Floundkalan,(near Ahmedgarh Mandi) sheer by his hard work he first became a college English lecturer and then got inducted to IFS. He served as ambassador to 9 countries including New Zealand.

He wrote many books in English and Punjabi and spread Indian ethos wherever he went.Alumni who mourned his death include Prof. Dr.Amarjit Singh Hayer,Prof. I P Setia, Prof. Ashok Kapoor,Gurbhajan Gill (Pbi.Poet),Sushil Goyal, Mahaesh Sharma,Prof Sarita Sharma , Principal Manjit Singh Sandhu, K B Singh, Col Pardeep, Prof P D Gupta, Dr Harblass,Dr Kamal Kishore,(All Alumni) and former principal Dr Dharam singh sandhu .

College Alumni Org Sec Brij Goyal said that Bal Anand touched the lives of commoners with great love and had great affection  for the Alma Mater.He was to come soon to donate many rare books to Punjabi Bhawan library.He also worked for upliftment of village children. Principal Dr Pardeep S. Walia said that illustrious alumnus Bal Anand’s life will continue to inspire a new generation of students.
