ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਰੈਕੇਟ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ – 40,01,040 ਨਸੀਲੀਆਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਜਬਤ-ਮਥੁਰਾ ਦੇ ਗੋਦਾਮ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਸਆਿਂ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਬਰਾਮਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਈਕੋਟਰੋਪਿਕ ਨਸਆਿਂ ਦੇ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਰੈਕੇਟ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ 40,01,040 ਨਸੀਲੀਆਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ/ਕੈਪਸੂਲ/ਟੀਕੇ ਜਬਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ, ਜਿਸਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਲਗਭਗ 4-5 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਅੱਜ ਇਥੇ ਡੀ.ਜੀ.ਪੀ. ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਿਨਕਰ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮਸਾਣੀ ਬਾਈਪਾਸ ਲਿੰਕ ਰੋਡ, ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਕੁੰਡ, ਮਥੁਰਾ (ਯੂ.ਪੀ.) ਵਿਖੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਗੋਦਾਮ ‘ਤੇ ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਛਾਪਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਸਟੋਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ।
ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤਿੰਨ ਮੁਲਜਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਦਕਿ ਚੌਥੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਫੜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਬਰਾਮਦਗੀ ਨਾਲ ਹਜਾਰਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਸਆਿਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਔਸਤਨ ਇੱਕ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਦਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ 10 ਗੋਲੀਆਂ/ਕੈਪਸੂਲ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਆਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਵੇਰਵੇ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਗੋਇਲ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਸੀਆਈਏ ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਲ ਵਿਛਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੋਹਨ ਲਾਲ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਵਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵਾਸੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਉੱਪਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ 800 ਨਸੀਲੀਆਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ (ਅਲਪਰਾਸੇਫ 0.5 ਮਿਲੀਗ੍ਰਾਮ) ਨਾਲ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦੀ ਪੁੱਛ-ਪੜਤਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਨ•ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਸੰਤ ਲਾਲ ਵਾਸੀ ਕਿਲਾ ਮੁਹੱਲਾ, ਬਰਨਾਲਾ (ਓਮ ਸਵਾ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਹਾਲ, ਬਰਨਾਲਾ) ਅਤੇ ਨਰੇਸ ਮਿੱਤਲ ਉਰਫ ਰਿੰਕੂ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਚੰਦ (ਬੀਰੂ ਰਾਮ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਦਾਸ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਟੋਰ, ਸਦਰ ਬਾਜਾਰ, ਬਰਨਾਲਾ) ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ 1700 ਨਸੀਲੀਆਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ (ਕਲੋਵਿਡੋਲ 100 ਐਸਆਰ) ਫੜੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਐਵੀਡੈਂਸ ਐਕਟ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਾ 27 ਅਧੀਨ ਦੋਸੀ ਪਾਸੋਂ 1800 ਨਸੀਲੀਆਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ (ਕਲੋਵਿਡੋਲ 100 ਐਸਆਰ), ਇਕ ਇਨੋਵਾ ਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ 5 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ (ਡਰੱਗ ਮਨੀ) ਵੀ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੁਲਜਮ ਨਰੇਸ ਮਿੱਤਲ, ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਟੋਰ ਤੋਂ ਨਸੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਤੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਦੂਜੇ ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਈਕੋਟ੍ਰੋਪਿਕ ਡਰੱਗਜ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਲੜੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਗੈਰਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਰੈਕੇਟ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਹੋਰ ਮੁਲਜਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਬੋਚਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਮਿੱਤਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਖੁਲਾਸਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਰੈਕੇਟ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਤੈਅਬ ਕੁਰੈਸੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਬੂ ਕੁਰੈਸੀ ਵਾਸੀ ਚੱਕਲਾ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ, ਸਦਰ ਬਾਜਾਰ, ਮਥੁਰਾ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ। ਤਈਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਵਿਖੇ 80,000 ਨਸੀਲੀਆਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ (ਕਲੇਵਿਡੋਲ 100 ਐਸਆਰ) ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, 39,21,040 ਨਸੀਲੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ (ਕਲੇਵਿਡੋਲ 100 ਐਸਆਰ), ਕੈਪਸੂਲ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਜੈਕਸਨ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਦੇ ਗੋਦਾਮ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
BIGGEST EVER DRUG HAUL OF TABLETS/CAPSULES/INJECTIONS BY PUNJAB POLIC——–4 HELD, OVER 40 LAKH INTOXICANTS SEIZED, GODOWN BUSTED IN MATHURA
Chandigarh, March 6: (News Punjab) In the biggest ever such haul of drugs, the Punjab police busted a major racket involving illegal trade of psychotropic drugs, with the arrest of four persons and seizure of 40,01,040 intoxicating tablets/capsules/injections, valuing around Rs 4-5 crore.
Disclosing this here on Friday, DGP Punjab, Dinkar Gupta said a godown situated at Masani Bye-Pass Link Road, Saraswati Kund, Mathura (UP) used to store the drugs was also busted by the Barnala police team.
While three of the accused were arrested in Barnala, the fourth was nabbed in Mathura, said the DGP, adding that thousands of youth had been saved from drug abuse with this seizure, as, on an average, one youth consumes 10 tablets/capsules a day.
Giving details of the operation, the DGP said a trap was laid by a police party led by CIA Barnala, under the guidance of SSP Sandeep Goel, on the basis of a tip-off, said the DGP.
Gupta said Mohan Lal S/o Pawan Kumar R/o Village Uppali was first nabbed with 800 Intoxicating Tablets (Alprasafe 0.5 mg). His investigation led to the arrest of two more persons, identified as Balwinder Kumar S/o Basant Lal R/o Quila Mohalla, Barnala (Om Shiva Medical Hall, Barnala); and Naresh Mittal @ Rinku S/o Prem Chand (Biru Ram Thakur Dass Medical Store, Sadar Bazar, Barnala), with 1700 Intoxicating Tablets (Clovidol 100 SR).
In addition, 1800 Intoxicating Tablets (Clovidol 100 SR), one Innova car and Rs.5 Lakh (Drug Money) were also recovered from the accused u/s 27 of the Evidence Act
Further interrogation of the main accused Naresh Mittal, who was receiving the drugs at his medical store, had unveiled a chain of supply of Psychotropic Drugs into Punjab from other states of India, said the DGP, adding that rurther investigations are likely to unmask many other players in this illegal racket, said the DGP.
Acting on the disclosures made by Mittal, the police team traced the chain to one Tayeb Qureshi S/o Babu Qureshi R/o Chakla Street, Sadar Bazar, Mathura. Tayeb was arrested at Mathura with 80,000 Intoxicating Tablets (Clevidol 100 SR). Subsequently,
39,21,040 Intoxicating Tablets (Clevidol 100 SR), Capsules and Injection were recovered from the Godown in Mathura.
