COMMISSIONER OF POLICE URGES OTHER PRIVATE HOSPITALS TO ASSIST DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION DURING COVID PANDEMIC

Due to the persistent efforts of District Administration, Christian Medical College & Hospital (CMCH) Ludhiana has added 50 more beds to its existing Covid Care Centre. Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal and ADC (Development)-cum-Nodal Officer Covid Mr Sandeep Kumar Mr Sandeep Kumar today visited the CMCH premises and thanked the hospital management for adding 50 more beds to its existing Covid Care Centre in their premises.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma said that earlier, the Covid Care Centre at CMCH comprised of 81 beds (21 level-3 and 60 level-2 beds). He said that now the capacity of this centre has been increased by 50 more beds, which include 10 level-3 (ICU with ventilator) beds and 40 level-2 (ICU with oxygen) beds. So now the total capacity of the Covid Care Centre at CMCH Ludhiana has become 131-bedded.
Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma assured the residents that there is no shortage of beds for Covid treatment in district Ludhiana. He said that people should not panic and check the status of vacant beds through official web links “https://ludhiana.nic.in/
Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal urged managements of other private hospitals to also come forward and set up Covid care centres in their premises so that they can make real service towards the society during today’s testing times.
