Mini Bus Operators’ Leaders Booked For Violating COVID-19 Norms

Pataiala, July 16-District Police have booked 13 of Mini Bus Operators today u/s 188/269/270 of IPC and 51 of Disaster Management Act at PS Anaj Mandi Patiala for violating COVID-19 norms.
Divulging the details, SSP Mandeep Singh Sidhu said that the name of leaders of Mini Bus operators association Punjab against whom FIR has been lodged, included Chairman- Balvinder Singh Behla R/o Vill. Behla, Distt Tarantaran, Vice President – Baldev Singh Babbu R/o Amritsar, General Secretary- Tarlok Singh Batala R/o Vill. Gagarbhana, Distt Batala, Jagjit Singh Dhillon R/o Tarantaran, Gopal Singh R/o Khanora, Rajinder Singh R/O Mansa, Gurdeep Singh R/0 Mansa, Jatinder Sharma R/O Mansa, Jarnail Singh R/O Jagraon, Billu R/O Beas, Sher Singh R/O Amritsar, Kartar Singh R/O Moga and Harleen Singh Channi R/O Tapa Mandi, Barnala.
He added that these accused along with around 250 others came to Patiala in around 25 Mini buses and Tempo travellers from across the state and held dharna illegally and were planning to march towards CM house.
Thus for violating state government guidelines regarding ban on holding of public assembly/protests, social distancing and mandatory wearing of masks in view of COVID-19 Pandemic, all these have been booked under various sections.
