Terrible collision between bus and tanker… 8 people died on the spot, 19 injured

A double-decker sleeper bus collided with a tanker on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway near Kannauj on Friday afternoon and fell into a ditch. In the accident, 8 passengers on board the bus died on the spot. More than 19 people were injured. The bus was going from Lucknow to Delhi. The speeding bus overturned after hitting a UPDA water tanker moving in front. This tragic accident happened in the afternoon due to the bus driver falling asleep. Jal Shakti Minister Swatantrev Singh, who was leaving the spot after the accident, stopped his convoy and evacuated the injured and informed UPDA and other senior officials of the district about the accident.

The accident took place near Mishrabad village on the Auraiya border of Sakrava police station area of ​​Kannauj. After the accident, a crowd of villagers and forces from several police stations are present at the spot. The SP said that 8 people have died in the accident. 19 passengers have been injured. Most of the dead and injured were residents of Lucknow and its surrounding districts, who were going to Delhi for employment. Kannauj DM Shubhrant Kumar Shukla, SP Amit Kumar Anand and Tirwa MLA Kailash Rajput are present at the spot. All the injured have been admitted to Saifai Medical College.
